Volunteers in Action
Our Volunteers Come From All Over the World
We are very blessed to have received volunteers from all over the world. Since October 2018, we had more than 30 individual volunteers and countless student and church groups from China, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, USA and even India. They came through the support of organizations, churches, schools and many came on their own. They taught the teachers and students and gave support to various school programs.
And through WNS, many have reached out to the wider community of Baray by visiting students’ families in their various villages. They have helped many poor villages by building wells, building houses and painting public schools. Many have provided food and essential items during times of need.
Some volunteers came for a few days and some even a month long. Many are repeat volunteers. We have volunteers who stayed for 6 months to a year too! They are angels who have blessed WNS in so many ways. Their spirit of selfless giving is a great testimony to the locals here.
As WNS is a private school supported mostly by donor funds, most volunteers have to come with their own financial support.
